The University of Warsaw’s science portal published an article in English by Dr Piotr Sosnowski (Faculty of Political Science and International Studies) on the international SAUFEX project. The piece outlines how the consortium — researchers from Finland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Poland — uses artificial intelligence and unified knowledge bases to counter foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI).
It also reviews the work completed to date: mapping EU member states’ FIMI detection capabilities, establishing a Polish Resilience Council against International Disinformation, and analysing Russian disinformation narratives using a three-level typology framework combined with AI tools for automated pattern detection.
